導演比利懷德的嚴肅社會酗酒題材happy ending片，1946年的奧斯卡的最佳影片最佳導演最佳男主，相比之前看過但1962年才上映的《Days of Wine and Roses》，更喜歡后者一點，至少后一部電影對兩人的愛情有個很好的交代。這片子的男主角就純粹是中頭等獎了才會有海倫這么個美麗善良不離不棄的女朋友。
